1991 Custom Alloy High Speed Passenger Cat
A rare opportunity to purchase this alloy high-speed passenger catamaran built to a Lock Crowther design in Singapore, originally to Germanischer Lloyd Class.
Ocean Dreaming has enjoyed a successful career in the Pacific Islands. Ideally suited for refit as a a luxury cruising vessel or could be made ready to continue commercial work for her new owners.
Currently configured with seating for 223 passengers, Ocean Dreaming was built by Aluminium Craft Pty Ltd in Singapore, of marine grade aluminium and originally featured seating for 450 passengers. ,
The catamaran has three decks, raked bows, reverse transom, and an internal hull arrangement with watertight traverse bulkheads.
Her two passenger saloons are both air conditioned and fitted with aircraft-style seating and panoramic windows. Additional seating is also located aft of the main cabin and on the top level. Ocean Dreaming also features a galley and café for full-service capabilities.
Refit with some overnight accommodation an create a excellent cruising platform for the Islands and beyond. High bow and freeboard could make her suited for extended passages with the right engine configuration.
Main engines are two DMWM Deutz Motoren Werke Mannheim model 604BV12, 12-cylinder 4-stroke single-acting water-cooled twin turbo-charged marine diesels producing 1690HP at 1800RPM. Her starboard engine was overhauled in mid 2018 and Port side replaced with factory overhauled engine in 2019.
