Having just completed over 10,000 miles I would say beautifully. We started our trip with three children on board , the youngest being 2 and a half. They and we felt extremely safe at al times. She is a heavy displacement cruiser so is mild mannered. All our friends who have sailed on her that are used to lighter sloops have all been very surprised by how comfortable she is. In many ways she feels like a ship rather than a 51 foot sailing yacht. In light airs she is happier motor sailing but in anything above 10 knots she comes into her own.
I had never sailed a ketch before but am now sold on them. Shortening sail is easy with such a flexible rig, and despite her size she is easily managed.
